Sweet Berry Farm

We had a great time kicking off the autumn season by going to Sweet Berry Farm the first weekend of October.  We went with our friends Elizabeth and Bethany, and ended up staying almost the whole day.  There is always so much to do there, and Ian keeps asking when we're going back.
Loaded up and ready to go.

Just checking out the truck...and trying to figure out how to open the door and get inside.

Making sure his tires are inflated before the barrel train takes off.

This boy LOVES tractors, and had to climb up onto every single one we found on the farm.
Excited about the hay ride.

Bravely feeding the goats.
Barrel train take 2.

These flowers were amazing! The photo doesn't do them justice.
Checking out all the levers and gears.
Such happiness.
Teaching Bethany about all that he discovered.
Lots of space for the kids to run. He let her have a head start! ;)
Enjoying some pumpkin ice cream.  It's so good that it's hard to share. Next year, we'll each get our own cups.

This is a sure sign that it's time to leave.

Beach Trip 2012

Now that it's December, I figure I should catch up on what we have been doing for the last few months. :)  We went to Port Aransas in September, and enjoyed beautiful weather each day we were there.  It was a relaxing trip, and we were lucky enough to see a different sunrise each morning.
Woke up from his nap just in time to enjoy the ferry ride.

Building sandcastles with Uncle.

Sunrise on day 2.

Fearlessly charging in.

Sandcastle creations.
Helping Grammie make strawberry pie.  This takes serious concentration. :)

Sunrise day 3.

Sunrise on the last day.

Drawing in the sand.
Ian's sand owl.

Feeding seagulls.

Enjoying a snack on the beach.
Eating the last bites of strawberry pie so we wouldn't have to throw it away. :)

All that fun makes for a tired boy.
